INTRODUCTION:

This full keel, double ender is an exquisite design by C.W. Paine and built to the highest standards by Morris Yachts of Maine.  This offering was finished as the personal boat of Tom Morris.  She is fully capable of crossing oceans and has made passages to Bermuda and the length of Lake Michigan.  She was finished in 1996 in Maine and sailed mostly in Rhode Island Sound until 2003.  She was then purchased by her current owner and trailered to Chicago, IL in 2004.  Since then, she has been sailed in fresh water on Lake Michigan from June to October and stored indoors during the winter months. She comes with a custom Triad trailer and two dinghies. 

CONSTRUCTION AND DECK HARDWARE:

ACCOMMODATIONS:

IF has a very airy and open interior that is finished in the Herreshoff style with varnished teak and off-white panels and a solid teak cabin sole. She features a large head, hanging locker and gear storage in the forepeak.  Galley is to port and starboard aft of the main bulkhead.  Two comfortable berths are to port and starboard and a navigation desk is aft to starboard.

• Plastimo propane 2-burner stove with oven.
• Propane tank is new aluminum marine grade located in aft locker with air vent overboard. There are appropriate shut off valves as well as in-cabin gas sensor.
• Stainless steel galley sink with fresh water foot pump.
• Top-loading stainless steel ice box
• Generous storage lockers
• (2) 15 Gallon polypropylene water tanks.  Located under both salon benches.

Nav Station:

• Removable chart table with red and white LED lighting and access to marine radio.

Head:

• Raritan standard head. Polypropylene holding tank forward.

MECHANICAL:

• Volvo Penta 2001 Engine. One cylinder. Fresh Water Cooled. Hand crank fitted. 9 HP. Primary and secondary fuel filters. Frequent oil and filter changes as well as clean fuel tank. Frequently run, but very low hours. Starts first time. No major issues or overhauls. 
• 2 blade, 13 inch, bronze propeller. New Cutlass Bearing 2006. Standard stuffing box with packing.
• Manual bilge pump mounted in cockpit. Second back up hand pump.
• Steering: Tiller, out hung rudder. Trim tab Ratcliff self-steering wind vane attached.

• 2 West Marine gel deep cycle 88 amp hour batteries

• Standing Rigging: 1x19 stainless steel with sta-lok terminals. Double lowers, topping lift and Lazy jacks.
• Mast: Masthead sloop rig. Aluminum Painted Mast. Keel stepped with spar tight collar.
• Reaching pole: Rigged on track on mast.
• Mainsheet traveler: Rigged at the aft end of cockpit.
• Winches: (2) Lewmar 30 ST primary, self tailing, bronze. (1) Lewmar 16 on cabin top for reefing and main halyard. (1) Lewmar 8 on mast, jib halyard.
• Halyards: 4 on the mast: jib, main, drifter, and staysail
• Topping lift
• SAILS: 6 essentially new, few hours. Also, included back up set of sails: Main, Genoa, and reefing jib. 
• Main: North Sails, Cross Cut Dacron. Heavy Duty. 3 Reef points. 4 Battens. New in 2014 – few hours.
• 120% Genoa: North Sails. Dacron. Heavy Duty. New 2010. Never Used.
• Working Jib: North Sails. One reef. Two battens. New 2017.
• Storm Jib and Storm Trysail: Strongly built with Orange Markings.
• Asymmetrical Light Reacher: Nylon, 2 oz. With retrieving “Sock” hoisting and retrieving bag.
• 1996 main and jib, both serviceable.

SAFETY:

• Safety Gear: Jordan Series Drogue – Custom Built by Ace Sailmaker. 100 cones on 240 feet of line, to be streamed aft.
• Lifelines: Double on 24 inch stanchions, Bow and Stern Pulpits. Two gates at the cockpit. Jack line of Dacron for rigging fore to aft.
• Cockpit Pad Eyes - Safety Harness Attachments

GROUND TACKLE:

• (2) CQRs 25 pound anchors
