The Full Foil Keel® offers a combination of moderate draft, superb stability (both initial and final), structural/grounding survivability, and off wind seakeeping & tracking not equalled by fin keel alternatives

Versatile Cutter rig which is easily managed in a wide range of wind and sea conditions

The confidence of a protected rudder and integrally molded hull and keel

Recessed decks with bulwarks for safety and security

Direct gear steering with no cables to adjust or fail, coupled to a Ramarine below deck rotary drive autopilot rated for 24,000 lb vessel

Tankage configuration below cabin sole maximizes storage space elsewhere providing more usable enclosed storage space than other yachts in the same size class

Premium materials and craftsmanship were used to build a yacht with the highest retained resale value of any yacht built in the US.  This translates to one of the lowest costs of ownership of any yacht built.

Island Packets are built and certified to the highest standards offered by the NMMA and IMCI assuring well engineered and thought out assembly and construction.

With an upgraded water capacity of 86 gallons, a fuel capacity of 23 gallons, and power generation upgrades this vessel is ready to take you on extended voyages with less frequent stops.  The Island Packet 29 is not just a sailboat, it's a testament to the quality craftsmanship of a great American design, a true sailor's delight.
