1989 Catalina 34

Indiantown, Florida

$34,400

1988 Catalina 34

Designed by Frank Butler, the Catalina 34 was first introduced in 1985 and had a deck stepped mast and a 21 HP diesel engine. In 1987 the design was changed to a keel stepped mast and the 25XP (23 HP) inboard. The 34 combines a long waterline, moderate displacement and decent sail area to assure great sailing performance on all points of sail. The 34’s are great coastal cruising boats or for island hopping. AURORA has had lots of upgrades including sails, electronics, solar and so much more!   The interior has a big V-berth, a sizeable athwartship berth, and a huge dinette that converts to a double, sleeping a total of 6. The interior is the most praised feature of the 34. The head lies aft, across from the galley and is a valuable asset on a sea boat where it can double as a wet locker for fowl weather gear. The aft cabin lies aft of the galley with a solid door for separation and privacy. The L-shaped galley is nicely laid out with gimbaled stove & oven, top-loading ice box with refrigeration and deep double SS sinks. People find the Catalina 34 a delight to sail. The boat is well engineered and laid up by hand in a conventional way. Standard equipment means quality deck hardware, wheel steering, good ventilation throughout and self-tailing primary winches. The T-shaped cockpit is self-bailing and accommodates the wheel, guard, table and instrument cluster. There is one sail locker and an approved LPG locker. This boat is well equipped and in very nice condition. The interior is lush with lots of teak and a teak and holly sole.

Disclaimer

*The boat has working Air conditioning. However, the water intake is currently disconnected for a foot pump. It just needs a Y connection to the salt water intake and it should work fine again. It's a webasto and still turns on and starts to cool, but it needs the water to continue.

*It might be worth noting that the side window gaskets need to be replaced.

*The RPM gauge isn't calibrated correctly
